Niger, West African country whose population is among the poorest in the world, victim of Islamist terrorism and post-colonial corruption, is perceived through the rediscovery of exceptional ancient Koranic manuscripts. The evocation of this forgotten heritage, jealously preserved by a handful of researchers and marabouts, questions the identity of a youth torn between traditions, religions and cultural globalization, facing a more than uncertain future.
